This is less of a product review and more of a chance for me to gush about a product I love. I first spotted Heaven's Alchemy perfumes in a lovely little lingerie boutique call Flirt in Minneapolis. I sniffed a few different bottles and could not believe how deep and complex the scents were. I settled on the one called, Paris, and left a happy girl. To me, perfume is a luxury - a perfect little indulgence that just makes you feel "dressed" even after you've put a killer outfit together.
Fast-forward one year and Paris has become my signature scent and the only perfume I own that my guy compliments every time I wear it. There are hundreds of perfumes out there, but I've found a lot to love about Heaven's Alchemy in particular.

First of all, these fragrances are pure perfume, meaning they contain 15--80% concentration of scent (aromatic and botanical compounds). Perfume contains 15-25%, Eau de parfumes contain 7--15% (these are what you'll find at most beauty counters) and Eau de toilettes contain only 4-10% concentration of scent (this applies to most body lotions and body sprays)/
My skin literally soaks up perfume so most formulas disappear on my wrists and neck within an hour or two. Heaven's Alchemy, however, lingers gorgeously all day long. As such, I use less and get more wear out of the bottle.
The second reason I love this perfume is that it is free of alcohol, parabens, color additives, harsh chemicals, and phthalates. In general, fragrances are packed with chemicals. I've always found this disconcerting, so a
concentrated perfume that helps me stay true to my preference for natural ingredients is a big win in my book.
Finally, the quality of these fragrances far surpasses anything else I've tried. Each scent (I have smelled ALL 15 - seriously) is so complex, full, and vibrant. The perfumes are named after global cities and reflect the very feeling of those cities in addition to containing ingredients native to the place for which they are named. The scents representing the middle eastern cities are warm and spicy, the ones named for the big metropolises of Paris and New York are seductive and sophisticated and on and on.
Since Heaven's Alchemy is only pure perfume, the fragrances do cost more than your average department store scent but they are worth every penny. They'll last you twice as long and earn you many compliments.
I know I don't normally do long, gushy posts about products but I'm very impressed by this small, innovative company. I'd love to hear your thoughts if you have ever tried a scent of theirs!
