Product Review: Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter

In yesterday's outfit post I was rocking some lovely red lips courtesy of this little gem. I mentioned in my previous lipstick post how much I love Revlon's choices when it comes to affordable lip color with a punch. I also mentioned that I was anxious for these babies, Revlon's ColorBurst Lip Butter, to be released. I finally found them on the shelves at my local drugstore this week and purchased the "Candy Apple" shade. J'adore!

The Claim: "Buttery balm with beautiful shiny color to give you baby soft, healthy glowing lips, 94% of women felt lips were softer, smoother, and instantly hydrated."

The Good: I love the Candy Apple shade. It's a playful red; not too bright, not too heavy. It definitely slides on smooth as the company claims and feels more like a balm than a lipstick. I love that the lip color is full of pigment but has a sheer quality to it as well. You can build up your color - a great perk for those who are lipstick shy. I couldn't get over how this brightened up my face, especially with my winter paleness in full effect.

The Bad: Nothing much to say here! After about an hour of wearing this formula I needed to apply some lip balm over it to re-moisturize but it stayed soft and the color didn't fade.

The Verdict: Love it! Can't wait to get my hands on more shades!
